Functions

UYA Lite 915 by BlueBird Tech is an ultra-lightweight and highly efficient antenna.

It is designed to operate in the 870–1000 MHz frequency range and is optimized for a 915 MHz center frequency.

The main advantage of the Lite version is its minimal weight while maintaining high mechanical rigidity.

Design and Materials

The antenna base is made of heat-resistant PETG plastic, ensuring precise element positioning and stable technical performance even under vibration or wind loads.

The active antenna elements are made of brass, providing high electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance.

RF Performance

Thanks to its directional radiation pattern (≈60–85°) and a gain of up to 9 dBi,

UYA Lite 915 significantly increases signal transmission range and ensures reliable communication in the specified direction.

Application

The antenna is designed to substantially extend operational range and improve signal quality for digital or analog communication systems.

Due to its ultra-low weight (≈75 g), it is an ideal solution for installation on relay drones, where minimizing payload is critical to preserve flight time.

The antenna is also effectively used in mobile ground relay systems and remote relay setups.

UYA Lite 915 is fully compatible with ELRS, Crossfire, and other telemetry and control systems operating in the 900 MHz frequency band.

FAQ

What is the difference between an omnidirectional and a directional antenna?

An omnidirectional antenna provides coverage “all around,” while a directional antenna focuses and amplifies the signal in a specific direction and usually offers greater range.

How to choose the antenna frequency?

Refer to the operating frequency range of your system (for example, 1.2 GHz / 5.8 GHz / 750–915 MHz).

Is the antenna weight important for a drone?

Yes, lighter antennas have less impact on autonomy and controllability.

Are these antennas suitable for repeaters?

Yes, some models are designed for drone repeaters and ground-based relay nodes.

What do external antennas for the “Chuyka” with 3/5/10 m cables provide?

They allow the receiving point to be placed in a better position and improve reception quality and range in compatible systems.

Where can I buy communication antennas?

On the BlueBird Tech website or through official contact channels.
