Our Company Will Fly to Saturn’s Moon on a Joint NASA and SpaceX Mission

06.11.2026

Technology company BlueBird Tech will represent Ukraine in space: the brand’s name and a reference to our country will travel towards Saturn as part of NASA’s Dragonfly mission. The BlueBird Tech name and the name of Ukraine will be engraved on a special silicon microchip that will travel more than 3.5 billion kilometres before reaching Titan, Saturn’s largest moon.

Dragonfly is one of NASA’s most anticipated exploration missions. It is intended to help determine whether chemical conditions similar to those that preceded the emergence of life on Earth could have formed on Titan. In effect, the Ukrainian brand’s name will take part in a joint mission that could provide scientists with answers about the origins of intelligent life.

“For BlueBird Tech, this is an opportunity to represent our native Ukraine internationally. It is symbolic for us to join NASA’s ambitious scientific project, which will help humanity better understand the origins of the Universe. We believe that Ukrainian technologies and engineering expertise should be recognised worldwide at every level—from defence technologies to space exploration,” says BlueBird Tech CEO Valerii Zarubin.

What Dragonfly Will Study

Dragonfly is a robotic eight-rotor octocopter. Thanks to Titan’s dense atmosphere and low gravity, the drone will be able to fly above the moon’s surface, explore different locations and collect soil samples for analysis.

Titan is one of the most unusual celestial bodies in the Solar System. Its surface contains rivers, lakes and seas, but instead of water, they are filled with liquid methane and ethane. US scientists are also interested in the moon’s atmosphere, which is rich in complex hydrocarbon compounds.

When BlueBird Tech Will Travel into Space

Dragonfly is scheduled for launch in July 2028. A SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch vehicle is being prepared for the mission. The spacecraft is expected to reach Titan in December 2034.

BlueBird Tech has already received a symbolic boarding pass confirming its participation in NASA’s interplanetary exploration mission.
