Our Company Has Developed a New Remote Antenna Module for Drone Detectors

26.10.2026

Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech has unveiled the new MVA 4 Remote Antenna Module for the Ukrainian “Chuyka 4.0” and “Chuyka 4.5.0” drone detectors. It allows the antennas to be positioned outside a vehicle or shelter, reducing the impact of metal and other structures on radio signal reception.

The new version operates across four frequency bands. Owners of the previous three-band module can upgrade it to the current version through the BlueBird Tech service centre without purchasing a new module.

A vehicle’s metal body, the structural elements of a dugout, and other obstructions can weaken radio signals or alter their propagation. As a result, operating conditions for a detector inside a vehicle or shelter may be less favourable than outside. The MVA 4 Remote Antenna Module allows the antennas to be installed on a vehicle roof or mast while the detector itself remains next to the operator. This helps reduce the impact of obstructions and improves the conditions for detecting FPV drone signals.

Key Changes to the BlueBird Tech MVA 4 Four-Band Remote Antenna Module

BlueBird Tech engineers have extended the 3.3 GHz range up to 4.5 GHz and added a separate channel for frequencies up to 8.8 GHz. The module is designed for use with the “Chuyka 4.0” drone detector and the new “Chuyka 4.5.0”.

“When military personnel operate from inside a vehicle or dugout, obstructions can interfere with effective signal reception. It is therefore important to be able to position the antennas where reception conditions are better without moving the detector itself. With the MVA 4, we have also combined four frequency bands in a single module. This gives users more options for working with different signals without needing a separate antenna for each frequency band,” explain BlueBird Tech engineers.

The module weighs only 730 g and attaches to a metal surface using four magnets. It can also be mounted on a mast. However, the Remote Antenna Module does not increase the detection range. Its purpose is to improve signal reception conditions by reducing the impact of obstructions, structures, and shelters.

How to Upgrade the Three-Band Module

Owners of the previous three-band MVA 3 module can upgrade it to the current MVA 4 version. The upgrade costs UAH 3,000. To order the module or learn more about the upgrade, contact BlueBird Tech through its official social media pages or visit the company’s official website: .
