Our Company and SET University Sign a Cooperation Memorandum
Ukrainian miltech company BlueBird Tech and technology-focused SET University have signed a memorandum on strategic cooperation. The partnership envisages joint training of specialists in autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and defense technologies — areas in which the Ukrainian market is already experiencing an acute shortage of qualified professionals.
The company notes that the development of autonomous systems is advancing significantly faster than the market can prepare the required specialists. This is why businesses are becoming increasingly involved in shaping educational programs.
How Cooperation Between BlueBird Tech and SET University Will Be Implemented
Company developers and engineers will work directly with students through guest lectures, analyses of real-world cases, and joint webinars. For students and graduates, this will also create a direct pathway to practical experience through internships at BlueBird Tech.
“Our company has a clear understanding of how quickly technologies replace one another. That is why BlueBird Tech has chosen the path of close cooperation with SET University. We understand that being on the same wavelength as students means maintaining both awareness of emerging trends and the freshness of new ideas. This collaboration between a miltech company and a higher education institution gives young people the opportunity to gain expertise from specialists who have been delivering results at BlueBird Tech for years. We are convinced that this format will prove beneficial and effective for both parties,” said Yurii Faraponov, Chief Operating Officer of BlueBird Tech.
One of the key areas of cooperation will be the new master’s program at SET University titled Computer Engineering of Autonomous Systems, which is scheduled to launch in October 2026. The program will focus on the development, protection, and scaling of software for unmanned and autonomous systems.
Iryna Volnytska, President of SET University, emphasizes that modern technology education requires the direct involvement of companies working with cutting-edge innovations
“We stopped looking for partners who simply understand education a long time ago. We are looking for those who understand the challenge and the industry. BlueBird Tech knows what an autonomous systems engineer should look like based on the results of real-world work. This is exactly the kind of industrial expertise that cannot be recreated within a university. It can only be brought into the university. That is precisely what we are doing,” said Iryna Volnytska, President of SET University.
The cooperation between BlueBird Tech and SET University is intended not only to address the shortage of qualified personnel but also to build a sustainable talent pipeline for a technology sector that is evolving faster than the education system can adapt.
