Ukrainian BlueBird Tech is joining the Pentagon’s Drone Dominance program
Ukrainian technology company BlueBird Tech becomes a participant in one of the most large-scale Pentagon programs – the Drone Dominance Program: “The Road to the Gauntlet: Phase 2 Qualifier”. BlueBird Tech will join it together with its American partner, Zaruba Inc.
The participation of Ukrainian specialists in the program is officially supported by the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco, which has contacted the Embassy of the United States in Ukraine to request assistance with processing visas for representatives of Blue Bird Tech, the official Ukrainian partner of Zaruba Inc.
“Drone Dominance is a large-scale international next-generation technological initiative that sets the pace for the entire unmanned systems industry. For us, participation in it is an opportunity not only to showcase Ukrainian engineering, but also to be among those who shape the standards of the future battlefield,” emphasizes Valeriy Zarubin, co-founder of BlueBird Tech.
What is the Drone Dominance program?
The Drone Dominance Program is a new Pentagon program for the accelerated procurement of small strike drones for U.S. combat units.
The program brings together leading companies, engineers, operators, and military experts working on the development of future technologies for the modern battlefield.
“The Road to the Gauntlet” is considered one of the most challenging and prestigious stages of the program. This is where intensive testing of cutting-edge solutions takes place in the field of:
- autonomous unmanned platforms;
- tactical FPV and ISR systems;
- artificial intelligence for battlefield solutions;
- resilient communications and navigation;
- EW (electronic warfare) and counter-drone technologies;
- integration of robotic platforms into real combat scenarios.
In essence, it is an environment where the standards of future technological warfare are being shaped.
The official program website states that the initiative provides $1 billion in funding over two years and that, by 2027, more than 200,000 drones are planned for procurement.
What does participation in Drone Dominance mean for BlueBird Tech?
For BlueBird Tech, participation in the program means:
- integration into the global defense-tech ecosystem;
- exchange of experience with leading American and international teams;
- access to new technological solutions and partnerships;
- the opportunity to present Ukrainian developments at one of the key innovation platforms in the UAV sector.
“Today’s war is becoming a battle of engineering solutions and the speed of their adaptation to frontline needs. The fact that Ukrainian specialists are becoming part of this process is evidence that Ukraine is already shaping a new global defense-tech architecture,” adds Valeriy Zarubin.
BlueBird Tech continues to develop modern unmanned aviation systems, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and robotic solutions that are tested in the most challenging conditions of modern warfare – and are attracting interest far beyond Ukraine.
