Electronic intelligence device “Chuyka 3 plus”

Chuyka 3 Plus is a three-band portable drone detector from BlueBird Tech, designed to detect FPV drones and other UAVs by their analogue video signal. The device automatically scans the radio spectrum in the 1.2 GHz, 3.3 GHz and 5.8 GHz ranges, warns about detected signals with audible and light indication, and allows you to view the intercepted video from the drone’s camera.

The main difference between Chuyka 3 Plus and the previous version is the extended scanning range of the 3.3 GHz module. In Chuyka 3.0 it covers frequencies from 2870 to 4080 MHz, whereas in Chuyka 3 Plus the upper limit has been increased to 4500 MHz.

Thus, the new version gained an additional 420 MHz of frequency coverage without changing the number of main ranges. Both devices operate in passive mode, feature automatic scanning, audible and light indication and two screens, and detect analogue video signals at distances of up to 4 km, depending on operating conditions.

The Chuyka 3 Plus detector operates across three frequency ranges:

• 1.2 GHz – from 900 to 1800 MHz;
• 3.3 GHz – from 2870 to 4500 MHz;
• 5.8 GHz – from 4860 to 6060 MHz.

The device automatically scans all three ranges with a step of no more than 10 MHz. A complete scanning cycle takes 4–8 seconds. This allows it to detect active analogue video signals from FPV drones within the supported frequencies.

Extending the mid-band module from 4080 to 4500 MHz allows Chuyka 3 Plus to detect analogue video signals on additional frequencies that were not included in the scanning range of Chuyka 3.0.

This is especially important when using FPV drones with non-standard video transmission frequencies. Thanks to the additional 420 MHz, the detector covers a wider frequency spectrum and reduces the risk of missing the signal of a drone operating above 4080 MHz.

At the same time, the extended frequency range does not mean an increase in detection range: as before, it depends on the signal characteristics, antennas and terrain conditions.

After being switched on, Chuyka 3 Plus automatically scans the radio spectrum across three frequency ranges and analyses the detected analogue video signals. When an active FPV drone signal is detected, the device produces audible and light alerts.

The smaller screen displays service information about the detected signals, including their number and level. The larger display allows you to view the intercepted image from the FPV drone’s camera, provided a corresponding signal is available.

Yes, Chuyka 3 Plus is equipped with a large screen for displaying the intercepted analogue video signal from the FPV drone’s camera. If the signal is sufficiently stable and compatible with the device, the user can see the image that is being transmitted to the drone operator.

An optional video output is also available for connecting an external monitor, video goggles or a recording device. This allows you to view the image on a separate screen.

The stated detection range for the analogue video signal of FPV drones is up to 4 km. The actual distance depends on the power of the UAV transmitter, terrain, presence of interference, placement and antenna characteristics.

To improve signal reception conditions, you can additionally use remote antennas with cables 3, 5 or 10 m long.

Chuyka 3 Plus operates in passive radio reception mode and does not transmit its own radio signals to detect UAVs. The device analyses signals that are already present on the air, so its scanning does not create additional radio emission.

This principle of operation reduces the risk of radio-frequency unmasking of the user when the detector is in use.

Chuyka 3 Plus operates automatically and does not require complex configuration before scanning begins. After being switched on, the device starts searching for analogue video signals across the three supported frequency ranges.

Chuyka 3 Plus is equipped with a built-in 4,500 mAh battery, which provides up to 6 hours of autonomous operation, depending on the usage scenario.

The device has a compact housing measuring 95 × 158 × 47 mm, excluding antennas and additional equipment, and weighs up to 650 g.

The status of a servicemember, police officer, or employee of another security agency does not by itself provide the right to purchase a product without VAT. If a product is purchased by an individual for personal use, it is sold at the standard VAT-inclusive price in accordance with the Tax Code of Ukraine.

A VAT-exempt purchase is possible only if an end-user certificate confirms that the final recipient of the product will be a law enforcement agency, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, a voluntary formation of a territorial community, or another military formation established under Ukrainian law.

An agreement may also be concluded with a legal entity, charitable foundation, or non-governmental organisation, provided that an end-user certificate confirms the transfer of the products for defence needs.

A tripartite agreement may also be used. Under such an agreement, one party makes the payment – for example, a charitable foundation, non-governmental organisation, sole proprietor, or company – the second party is the product supplier, BlueBird Tech, and the third party is a law enforcement agency, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, a voluntary formation of a territorial community, or another military formation established under Ukrainian law.
