Our Company Showcased Its Drone Detector at Drone Shield 2026 Trials in Czechia
Ukrainian technology company BlueBird Tech showcased its flagship drone detector “”Chuyka”” at the Drone Shield Experimental Exercise 2026 international trials in Czechia. The company was selected to participate in the event, where counter-UAS solutions are tested under conditions designed to resemble real combat environments.
Drone Shield 2026 brings together military personnel, representatives of allied countries, NATO, defense companies, and international experts. BlueBird Tech was invited to participate in the Personal UAS Detector — Support to Maneuver Units category, which covers personal drone detection systems as well as RF/ESM technologies and radar-based drone detection.
One day of the trials was dedicated to so-called soft-kill solutions — technologies designed to detect, identify, and counter unmanned aerial vehicles without physically destroying them. During this part of the exercise, participants demonstrated radio-frequency monitoring and drone detection systems, electronic warfare equipment, and other Counter-UAS technologies.
At Drone Shield, solutions are evaluated in a realistic operational environment, allowing military personnel to examine the technologies directly and provide feedback.
The BlueBird Tech drone detector “”Chuyka”” demonstrated strong performance. It operated effectively in GPS-denied conditions, and the BlueBird Tech team successfully completed most of the assigned tasks across different scenarios.
The strong interest shown by foreign military units in Ukrainian developments was also particularly significant. For BlueBird Tech, this is an important signal and an opportunity to better understand which Ukrainian technologies are currently required by international partners.
“It is important for us to showcase Ukrainian developments where they can be seen directly by military personnel from around the world. Just a few years ago, Ukrainian counter-drone technologies were proving their effectiveness only in Ukraine. Today, we have brought this experience to Europe to demonstrate the potential of Ukrainian engineering. We want BlueBird Tech solutions to help shape the future of technology,” explained Tetiana Uzhvii, Head of Export at BlueBird Tech.
“Chuyka” is a drone detector designed to identify analog video signals transmitted by FPV unmanned aerial vehicles. The device scans several commonly used frequency ranges and can be used both by military personnel during operational missions and by civilians in frontline regions where there is a threat of drone attacks.
