Our company has launched a build-your-own drone: what the new modular UAV Bebradrone Kit Can Do

31.08.2026

Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech has introduced a new version of its fixed-wing UAV, the Bebradrone Kit. This modular platform is designed for units, crews, and engineering teams that need flexibility in selecting onboard equipment.

At the core of the new platform is the Bebradrone airframe, proven in combat conditions. The key advantage of the Bebradrone Kit is that customers can independently determine the UAV’s configuration when placing an order, selecting control and video transmission systems, cameras, flight electronics, navigation equipment, and other specialized modules.

Bebradrone Kit is available in three standard variants:

  • Base – a mechanical airframe for self-installation of equipment;
  • ARF – a version with motors pre-installed;
  • Pro – a platform with a configured flight controller.

BlueBird Tech also offers custom configurations, with the company’s engineers selecting, installing, and configuring equipment to meet each customer’s technical requirements.

Who is the Bebradrone Kit for?

The Bebradrone Kit is primarily designed for users whose requirements go beyond what a standard configuration can offer.

“We created the Bebradrone Kit for military units that need more than a standard configuration can provide. If a unit already has its own communication systems, video transmitters, cameras, or other equipment, it does not have to adapt to a ready-made configuration. Instead, it can build the UAV around its existing technical ecosystem. The team can handle part of the integration itself or provide us with its technical requirements and receive a ready-to-use platform with integrated and configured equipment,” BlueBird Tech engineers explain.

Bebradrone Kit specifications

The Bebradrone Kit has a cruising speed of 90 km/h and a maximum speed of up to 150 km/h. Its tactical operating radius is up to 45 km, while the maximum payload capacity is up to 7.5 kg. Flight time reaches up to 30 minutes. The UAV is launched using a pneumatic catapult, with an operating altitude ranging from 150 to 500 meters.

Actual flight performance depends on the platform configuration, installed equipment, battery, payload weight and placement, weather conditions, and the aircraft’s flight mode.
