The professional radio reconnaissance device “Chuyka 3.0” from Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech, officially codified according to NATO standards and widely used by the Defence Forces of Ukraine on the front line, is now officially available to civilians.
The decision is driven by the growing FPV drone terror carried out by the Russian army in frontline regions, including Kherson, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhzhia—where enemy drones deliberately target pedestrians, drivers, and utility workers.
How does military technology work in civilian conditions?
The device continuously scans the radio spectrum and detects the analog video signals of enemy FPV drones and fixed-wing UAVs at distances of up to 4 km, before the aircraft enters the user’s line of sight. When a threat is detected, an audible alert sounds, while a live feed from the enemy drone’s camera appears on the device’s display, helping identify the drone’s direction of travel. In addition to personal protection, the detector can be installed in public transport, municipal service vehicles, utility and agricultural equipment, as well as at business premises such as cafés, gas stations, and stores.
