Our company is launching a strategic partnership program with leading technical universities in Ukraine

29.04.2026

Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech is launching a series of strategic partnerships with leading technical higher education institutions in Ukraine. The goal is to share engineers’ practical experience, exchange knowledge, and provide students with opportunities to work with the company in the future.

As part of the program, BlueBird Tech delivers specialized technical lectures for senior students. The first institutions to join were the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and the Kyiv Aviation Institute.

Students learned firsthand about modern Ukrainian developments and real-world engineering experience under conditions of full-scale war. The HR department also presented information about working conditions and employment opportunities.

In addition, students had the opportunity to work with the company’s flagship products, including the fixed-wing UAV “Bebradrone,” the drone detector “Chuyka 3.0,” and the FPV drone “Horror”.

“We aim to inspire young people and show that Ukraine’s technology industry is currently actively competing with leading global defense companies—and in some cases even outperforming them. Students in technical fields gain a unique opportunity to work with engineers and recruiters, and to learn the specifics of developing innovative products of the future,” the company BlueBird Tech stated.

At the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and the Kyiv Aviation Institute, such cooperation is strongly supported, with an emphasis on the very high level of student interest in the defense tech industry. Young people are eager to learn more about unique technological solutions currently used on the front line. Moreover, students actively participate in hackathons, where they already present their own developments and devices.

Among applicants, majors in electronic warfare technologies, AI, drones, and ground robotic systems are also becoming increasingly popular, as young people strive to create real-world solutions shaping the future.

Oksana Zakharchenko, Director of the Department of Educational and Student Affairs at National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”:

“For us, it is critically important that the educational process is aligned with market demands. When industry leaders come into classrooms, they bring knowledge of the latest technologies and real career pathways. This helps students go beyond theory and realize that university is not just about obtaining a diploma, but the first and most important step in professional development. When students see modern equipment in action and understand how it works through concrete examples, it becomes the most powerful driver of their intrinsic motivation.”

Sviatoslav Iutskevych, Dean of the Aerospace Faculty at the Kyiv Aviation Institute:

“These meetings help align what students are taught with what is currently needed on the front line and in the defense tech industry. Demand is high, so we are no longer focused on quantity, but rather on quality. We aim to work more closely and for longer with companies whose technologies best match the profile of our laboratories. The idea is to launch joint research projects – so that students are not spread across too many directions, but instead focus on promising solutions.”

BlueBird Tech will expand its program across Ukraine to attract talented young people to the development of domestic high technologies.
