BlueBird Tech presents updated versions of its autonomous charging stations — “Genera-1200” and “Genera-28”. The improvements are aimed at increasing the physical resilience of the products and, therefore, strengthening the energy independence of Ukrainian military forces in harsh field conditions. 

Engineers have reinforced the metal housing of both stations and replaced the glass with impact-resistant material. The “Genera” line can now withstand being run over by a military pickup truck and being dropped from a small height.  

“The line of autonomous charging stations ‘Genera’ was developed in cooperation with Ukrainian military personnel. BlueBird Tech engineers took into account the needs of soldiers in challenging field conditions and made the station as efficient and user-friendly as possible,” the company BlueBird Tech notes. 

Specifications of the “Genera-1200” autonomous charging station  

“Genera-1200” is a 220 V autonomous charging station designed to provide a continuous power supply for equipment in conditions of complete absence of an electrical grid. 

The station has a capacity of 1344 Wh and delivers a stable output of 700 W (with peak loads up to 1000 W), allowing it to simultaneously power: 

• communication equipment;
• batteries, including those for FPV drones;
• laptops, tablets, thermal imagers;
• surveillance and control systems;
• drone detectors. 

The station fully charges from a 220 V power supply in 3–4 hours. One of the key advantages of the “Genera-1200” is its ability to operate across a wide temperature range, from -20 °C to +45 °C. The station is equipped with a battery heating system, which allows it to be charged immediately after exposure to sub-zero temperatures, significantly reducing the time needed for warming up. 

The upgraded “Genera-1200” includes a number of features that are important for field operations: 

• LiFePO4 battery with a lifespan of up to 3,500 cycles;
• powerful battery management system (BMS 200A);
• built-in MPPT controller for solar panel charging;
• active cooling and stable performance under load;
• protection against overcharge, short circuit, and deep discharge;
• durable impact-resistant metal housing.  

Its functionality also makes the station relevant for civilian use, particularly during blackouts.

Specifications of the “Genera-28” autonomous charging station 

“Genera-28” has a high energy capacity of 1200 Wh. It provides long-term autonomous operation for high-power equipment such as electronic warfare systems, drone batteries, radio stations, and other critical hardware. 

The active cooling system enables operation under load without overheating. 

“Genera-28” covers several use cases at once: 

• 28 V — for specialized military equipment;
• 12 V — lighting, communications, auxiliary systems;
• USB QC — fast charging of devices and radio equipment. 

A full charge of the station takes 2.5–3 hours.
