Our company conducted the first demonstration trials of the “Bebradrone”

22.05.2026

BlueBird Tech conducted the first demonstration trials of the fixed-wing UAV “Bebradrone.” All capabilities of the new aircraft were demonstrated at the testing range.

During the trials, the company publicly presented the “Bebradrone” in flight for the first time, demonstrated its maneuverability and control methods, and revealed its key technical specifications.

During the demonstration tests, the BlueBird Tech field team separately showcased the process of pre-flight preparation of the system, UAV setup, installation, and launch from a pneumatic catapult. A video of the tests is available on our Facebook page.

How did the demonstration trials of the “Bebradrone” go?

Engineers paid special attention to the system’s deployment speed. The “Bebradrone” from BlueBird Tech is delivered to military units in a disassembled form, which simplifies logistics and transport in field conditions. Full preparation for launch takes up to 10 minutes and includes assembly, system checks, balancing, and installation of the payload section.

“The Bebradrone is designed so that military personnel on the battlefield do not spend much time preparing it for flight. The entire process takes up to 10 minutes, and the drone is ready for the mission,” explains Bebradrone engineer Serhii.

The launch is performed from a pneumatic catapult with the press of a single button – after that, the UAV is controlled by the operator. The pilot emphasizes that the “Bebradrone” is easy to operate and does not require extensive training, especially for those with piloting experience.

“Our combat pilots in the flight team needed only 15 minutes of training and were then able to confidently operate the aircraft,” says Bebradrone pilot Andrii.

“The Bebradrone” from BlueBird Tech was designed to engage targets in the enemy’s rear areas at distances of up to 45 kilometers. The drone is equipped with a payload of up to 9 kilograms, enabling it to destroy armored vehicles, shelters, warehouses, and infantry.

The “Bebradrone” is equipped with a “cruise” system that allows the aircraft to continue moving toward its target even under active electronic warfare conditions.

“We created a platform that is a tool capable of performing tasks where other solutions may not work. That is why the main focus was on survivability, flight stability, and effectiveness in real combat conditions,” says BlueBird Tech CEO Borys Budeianskyi.
