BlueBird Tech replaces foreign electronics in “Zhakh” drones with domestically produced components
BlueBird Tech is upgrading the “Zhakh” FPV drone line, making it maximally independent from foreign suppliers. The Ukrainian company is systematically switching to domestically produced components, reducing import dependency and strengthening its own manufacturing base.
This refers to flight controllers and electronic speed controllers (ESCs), which determine the drone’s behavior in the air. These components give “Zhakh” its key advantage — responsiveness and power. In addition, FPV drones are now equipped with Ukrainian-made motors.
Numerous tests have shown that domestically produced components have improved the drone’s performance compared to Chinese equivalents.
“Thanks to powerful electronic speed controllers, the “Zhakh” FPV has no limitations in power distribution, can perform sharp maneuvers, and rapidly accelerate. This is an advantage in the air achieved through Ukrainian-made components,” note engineers at BlueBird Tech.
An additional advantage is manufacturing economics. Ukrainian-made components are cheaper and do not require complex logistics, which is especially critical in wartime conditions. This enables faster production scaling and quicker fulfillment of frontline needs.
BlueBird Tech is currently continuing to actively localize drone production.
